Teflon Tubings
Teflon TFE Tubings
TFE Teflon tubings are the most versatile insulating materials
offering highly stable electrical, chemical and mechanical properties at
virtually all electronic frequencies throughout an operating temperature range
of -70°C to 260°C.
TFE Teflon tubings are non-toxic and will not burn in normal
atmospheres at any temperature and are inert to practically all lubricants,
solvents, and reagents. Electrical performance is superb, offering extremely
high dielectric strength in the thinnest cross-sections, with hot soldering
irons and subzero environmental conditions having equally no effect.
TFE Teflon tubings possess the lowest coefficients of friction
of any known solid. They are also immune to wicking, moisture absorption, or
contamination from objectionable sources. The anti-stick characteristic
facilities use in applications where space is limited, fits are tight, or
lengths are long.
TFE Teflon tubing is the material to specify when the
reliability and dependability of an application at environmental, electrical,
mechanical, and chemical extremes is paramount.
Consider using TFE tubings where:
 |
Insulation may be damaged by hot soldering irons, near
substances that must not be contaminated: IC Production,
Pharmaceuticals, Photographic Chemicals, Foods & Beverages, Aerospace
Materials, Medical Supplies & Equipment, Clean Room Environments. |
 |
With or near
corrosive substances such as strong acids and alkalis or where insulation
may come into contact with greases, oils, fuels, solvents, missile
propellants or other industrial chemicals. |
 |
Where lowest
possible static friction is desired. |
 |
Where tubing
must be anti-stick and easy to clean. |
 |
Where a
material that will not support combustion in normal environments is
required. |
 |
Where tubing
must function at extremely high or low temperatures. |
 |
In
applications calling for low loss, stable, long term electrical
properties, especially at high frequencies. |
 |
In locations
subject to weathering. |
 |
Where weight
saving is essential. |
 |
In high
humidity locations where there is a tendency for environmental
attack. |
 |
In compact
assemblies where thin walls are required. |
 |
In fluidic
control systems. |
 |
In
automotive, aviation and marine equipment. |
